Format: Writing due to your blog next class

Answer the following questions about the reading:
What is the author’s thesis?- the authors thesis is to show the photographers, how they should view a picture and these is so many meanings in one picture, to value the picture and not look at it as a regular piece of art. what do you find in it.

What examples does he use to support the thesis? he uses art works and tries to tel the audience, what you see and how much can you take out from it and visualize the picture and how much it stands out to you. he also sees the way he photo comes out, what style comes out


In your own words, how does Barrett define interpretation? he means looking at the picture and what can you find in the picture, what stands out to you. the details and what do you see in the picture. whether  you find a lot of meaning to it. does t look like a one dimensional picture or does it look like a 3 dimensional meaning. does it come out as a picture or a picture with meaning.

According to Barrett, why is interpretation important in criticism of photographs?interpretations  means what can you find, the gather information in a picture and if it means valuing the picture. how much it stands out to you . wha data gathering can you get on it and ho much it stands out to you. and what information can you collect



In Chapter 3 Barrett gives examples of various interpretations from different “interpretive perspectives” and “interpretive strategies” - choose one that stood out, surprised you, or interested you in some way and discuss why. to gather information on the picture, what you can see and what you cannot and can see in the picture. how much value can you see.
